Golden Hour Glow: Collin + Autumn’s Fall Engagement at Yellow Creek
There is something so magical about fall in western Pennsylvania. The crisp air, colorful leaves, and golden sunsets make it one of the most popular times for engagement sessions. When Collin and Autumn reached out to plan their fall engagement photos, we knew Yellow Creek State Park in Indiana, PA would be the perfect spot.
This session was especially meaningful to me because I’ve known Autumn since my high school dance days. She was a “mini” in the dance company when I was a senior, and years later I had the honor of photographing her senior pictures. When she met Collin, she told me right away that she wanted me to capture their wedding. Being a part of all these milestones in her life feels like such a full-circle moment.
For their engagement photos, we wanted to highlight what Collin and Autumn love most: the outdoors, fishing, and being by the water. Yellow Creek gave us docks, reflections on the lake, and the most incredible fall foliage. To top it off, their session was during golden hour, so the light danced across the water and made those vibrant fall colors glow even brighter.
The result was a gallery full of cozy, joyful, and romantic fall engagement photos. I’m already counting down the days to their October wedding and am hoping the fall leaves are just as stunning for their big day.
If you’re dreaming of a fall engagement session in Pittsburgh, Indiana PA, or anywhere in western Pennsylvania, this is your sign to book it! There’s nothing like celebrating your love story against the backdrop of colorful autumn trees and that signature golden-hour glow.
